What Is Smart?
Mercedes-Benz, Smart and Daimler Chrysler, are one group of car manufactures that have come up with a realistic and clever vehicle concept, it’s named the Smart. March 1994 the joint venture of Mercedes-Benz and SMH (Swatch) was officially announced in Stuttgart, Germany. Mercedes-Benz and the Swatch Watch Company started the revolutionary Smart project and the new mini vehicle known then as The Swatchmobile.

Smart started out with the Pure, Pulse and Passion in 1998. The entry level Pure city coupe delivered 44 hp and came with safety features as standard.
